WVONGA’s executive director, Nicholas “Corky” DeMarco – a dear friend, colleague and loyal, life-long West Virginian – was well known for his generosity and compassion for others.
During the period following the devastating flooding that occurred throughout West Virginia in June 2016, and leading up to July 7, 2016 – the day we all learned the sad news of Corky’s passing – Corky and his family were dealing with the aftermath of the flooding and its impact on their family home.
In fact, just after Corky’s passing, his wife learned that their home was no longer habitable and that the assistance offered by state and federal relief agencies was inadequate given the total loss of the home and property. This realization has materially affected the lives of Corky’s family.
To honor Corky’s legacy and to help his family rebuild, WVONGA has established The DeMarco Family Flood Relief Trust Fund through Huntington Banks.
We respectfully ask for your consideration in supporting this initiative through either or both a personal and/or corporate contribution. Donations should be made payable to The DeMarco Family Flood Relief Trust Fund and may be mailed directly to Huntington Banks at:
