Co Tenancy Agenda v2

A federal judge in California has struck down the Trump administration's repeal of an Obama-era rule that amended how the government calculates royalties for oil, natural gas and coal produced on public and tribal lands.

The global natural gas trade is set to more than double over the next 20 years to around 900 billion cubic meters (Bcm) from 400, about as much in trade by 2040 as the combined consumption of the United States and Canada today, the BP plc chief said recently.

A solidly bearish weather outlook sent natural gas forward prices tumbling from April 11-16 as the mild spring setup was expected to significantly improve storage inventories in the weeks ahead, potentially leading to a year/year surplus in stocks. May forward prices dropped an average 11 cents, while June and the balance of summer (May-October) slid a dime on average, according to NGI’s Forward Look.

A group of North Carolina lawmakers has called on FERC to suspend its certificate for the Atlantic Coast Pipeline LLC, a sign of potential political hostility to a project partially backed by regulated utilities that operate in the state.

FERC staff has completed a final environmental impact statement for three affiliates of Kinder Morgan Inc. to convert an existing liquefied natural gas import terminal in Mississippi into an export terminal.
