The West Virginia Oil and Natural Gas Association (WVONGA) is one of the oldest and deeply-rooted trade associations in the state.  This longevity reflects the critical role the industry has played in our state’s history, and also gives confidence to the vibrant future ahead of it.

Representing all facets of the industry – exploration, production, transportation and ancillary services – WVONGA is the authoritative voice on all things oil and natural gas.  The organization focuses on the objectives of membership support and networking, public education and awareness, and legislative/regulatory advocacy.

Director's Message

staff abOil and natural gas production in West Virginia has increased exponentially over the past decade, and we are just scratching the surface.   What an exciting time to be involved in this thriving industry with so much more to come.   With the advancements in technology that have allowed us to access the enormous oil and natural gas reserves in the Marcellus and Utica shales, production is going up and new ideas for end uses of natural gas are emerging.....(read more)
